I saw this movie (for the first time) on a Saturday morning at 10am after spending all day Friday (and Thursday evening) watching horror movies. The last movie on Friday night was "Centipede Horror", a delightful Hong Kong film from 1982 about wizards who make people vomit centipedes. That let out around 1am. I had time to drive home, sleep, shower and drive back to the theater.

"Extra Ordinary" was exactly what I needed. It's an Irish horror comedy, with very little horror. The heroine is a reluctant ghost buster who's never seen "Ghostbusters". She copes with past trauma by helping a man being abused by his dead ex-wife fight a sad sack one-hit wonder trying to make a deal with the devil.

So much of the humor depends on delivery and tone that I can't really do it justice in a review. It's in a very limited release right now. I thought my family might enjoy it, and I was right. They all loved it.

It's sad that a little movie like this won't be seen by many people in the US.
